Josh Hinch, Tyler Ramsey, and Trey LaBounty are joining the Bengals.

The Cincinnati Bengals have announced three additions to the team’s player personnel department. Josh Hinch and Tyler Ramsey have been hired as scouts, while Trey LaBounty has been hired as a scouting research analyst.

Hinch comes to Cincinnati from the New England Patriots, where he spent the past two seasons (2023-24) as a southeast area scout following two years (’21-22) as a pro scout. He previously served as director of player personnel for the Tampa Bay Vipers during the XFL’s inaugural season in 2020, following one season (‘19) in the same role with the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football.

A former running back at MidAmerica Nazarene University (NAIA) and the University of South Carolina, Hinch began his post-playing career in the coaching ranks, working on staff at SUNY Maritime College, South Carolina, and Northwestern. He broke into player personnel with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he spent four seasons (2015-18) as a scouting assistant.

Ramsey brings 16 years of scouting experience to Cincinnati, most recently serving on the scouting staff for the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl. He began his career with the Seattle Seahawks, where he spent three seasons as a scouting assistant (2009-11) and nine as an area scout with a focus on the West Coast region (12-20). He was on Seattle’s staff when the Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII following the 2013 season.

Ramsey joined the Carolina Panthers organization in 2021, spending that season as a national scout responsible for all draftable players west of the Mississippi River. He then served as assistant director of pro personnel for the Panthers from 2022-23.

LaBounty began his career in NFL player personnel last season as a football analytics intern with the Buffalo Bills. He played four seasons (2018-21) at Stanford University as a walk-on defensive end, then earned his master’s degree in sports analytics from Miami (Ohio) University in ’23.
