In 2019, he lost a training camp position battle at center to Trey Hopkins. He was then assigned to be the team’s utility interior lineman. The 6-foot-4 lineman eventually saw action at all three interior line positions for the Bengals. He played in all 16 games in each of the last two seasons, collecting nine starts. However, he only received one start at his natural center position.
