Cincinnati gets one exhibition at home this year.
The Cincinnati Bengals preseason schedule has been released in conjunction with their regular season schedule. The dates and times of the first two games have yet to be announced, but we do know which three teams the Bengals will be facing in August.
Bengals 2021 Preseason Schedule
- Week 1: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Date and Time TBA
- Week 2: @ Washington Football Team, Date and Time TBA
- Week 3: vs. Miami Dolphins, August 29th, 4 PM EST
The first two exhibitions for the Bengals will be on the road as they take on two 2020 playoff teams. The Buccaneers are the reigning Super Bowl champions, and the Washington Football Team nearly beat them in the postseason. Washington was the last team Joe Burrow faced last year before he was injured against them in Week 11. It’s unlikely that Burrow plays in either game.
As of now, only the Dolphins game has a date and time attached to it, and it is the only home game the Bengals have before the regular season. They have nine regular season home games, so fans will still have 10 opportunities to see the team in Paul Brown Stadium.
This will also be the first preseason since 2000 that the Bengals will not play the Indianapolis Colts. The two teams have traditionally faced each other to close out the preseason, but the game was not scheduled in the new three-week format. Due to the fact that there was no preseason last year, the two teams haven’t played a preseason game against each other since 2019.
