After losing starting quarterback Joe Burrow to an injury, the Cincinnati Bengals now have to deal with an injury to backup Jake Browning.
On Thursday, Browning made a surprise appearance on the Bengals’ injury report. For the first time since he took over several weeks ago, he was listed as having an injury to his right wrist.
Per Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic, Browning was a full participant in practice with the injury. Dehner joked that the Browns might list him with that injury every week just to mess with the rest of the league.
“I certainly hope just for everyone’s entertainment the #Bengals will be listing thier starting QB as a “full participant (right wrist)” for every game for the next decade,” he mused.

Jake Browning was forced into the starting role after Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending injury against the Baltimore Ravens a few weeks ago. He made his first career start against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week and was accurate but unremarkable.
Browning went 19 of 26 for 227 yards and one touchdown with one interception in a 16-10 loss to the Steelers.
The Bengals play the Jaguars this Monday in a game that could wind up deciding their season. Hopefully Browning is healthy enough to play – and preferably play well.
