Fresh on the heels of finding out the 2021 Cincinnati Bengals schedule, the team just finalized its preseason slate coming later this summer.
Cincinnati will play the following three exhibitions:
- Week 1: Saturday, Aug. 14 at Tampa Bay
- Week 2: Friday, Aug. 20 at Washington
- Week 3: Sunday, Aug. 29 vs. Miami
The NFL eliminated a preseason game to compensate for the addition of a 17th game to the regular season schedule. The league also eliminated the use of overtime in preseason games.
For the Bengals, the three games will be a critical bit of time for the new-look defense — especially the secondary — to get some reps in together during live action.
Barring something unexpected, quarterback Joe Burrow is hardly likely to partake, though.
It all starts with the preseason
