Fans Debating ESPN’s Controversial Top 10 Quarterbacks List

ESPN has released its annual ranking of the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL, which means it’s time to argue.

Like all of their positional rankings lists, ESPN arrived at their conclusion after surveying coaches, executives and scouts around the NFL.

The quarterback rankings are as follows:

  1. Patrick Mahomes
  2. Joe Burrow
  3. Josh Allen
  4. Lamar Jackson
  5. Matthew Stafford
  6. Justin Herbert
  7. CJ Stroud
  8. Aaron Rodgers
  9. Jared Goff
  10. Dak Prescott

As expected, the debating about the order has been fierce.

“I truly have no clue what Joe Burrow and Josh Allen have done that people consciously put them over Lamar Jackson,” one person said.

“This list has some real head-scratchers on it. Joe Burrow ahead of Josh Allen?! In what universe?! Patrick Mahomes is good that beating him automatically vaults you to places you have no business being,” said radio and podcast host Rob Guerrera.

“Burrow really gets too much credit for that SB run that his defense lead him to. Dude is hurt half the time,” a third person added.

“Burrow over Allen is wild,” a fourth person said.

“Only reach on here is Stafford at 5. Herbert and CJ can move up and put Stafford at 7,” a fifth person said.

“Leaving Jalen Hurts off the top 8 is a joke. Herbert? Rodgers? Burrow at 2? Staff at 5? Stroud?? This entire list is a joke. Dak ain’t over Hurts either,” another person said.

“Not a bad list but why y’all keep putting players over my boy Lamar ???” a seventh person asked.

It’s impossible to get one of these lists “right” because people’s opinions on certain players can differ wildly.

What do you think of ESPN’s rankings?
