Joe Burrow Makes Opinion On Olympic Flag Football Very Clear

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is stoked that flag football will become an Olympic sport in 2028.

It won’t be a sport during the 2024 Sumer Olympics in Paris, but it will be when the next Olympic games are held in Los Angeles, California. Once that comes around, Burrow would love to be on the flag football team.

“I really want to play for the Olympic flag football team,” Burrow said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk). “Like Me, Ja’marr (Chase), Justin (Jefferson), Me and my friends out there playing football. I think it’d be really cool.”

Burrow would have a chance to start on the team but there would be other top contenders for the role, including Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The United States should be able to win gold at the event since a good chunk of the players in the NFL are from the U.S. The U.S. would be able to field a very stacked team for that event and in the future if 2028 goes well.

Burrow will have plenty of time to prepare for it since he’ll get to play a few more NFL seasons before the 2028 Olympics come around.
