Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon — like everyone else — took in the national title game between Ohio State and Alabama on Monday night.
And he came away with one idea about what the Bengals should do with the fifth pick in the 2021 NFL draft:
Select Alabama wideout DeVonta Smith.
It’s a hard idea to argue against considering Smith brutalized the Buckeyes to the tune of 215 yards and three touchdowns on 12 catches — in the first half.
Mixon hedged his bet a bit with the social media commentary, saying the Bengals should make the move, but only if the team adds an offensive lineman in free agency:

So to recap, Mixon isn’t shying away from the fact the line in front of him needs some help. And he’s also thinking pretty much what the team should be at this point — the team has to use a high draft asset on another weapon for Joe Burrow.
