Despite enduring a seemingly endless assault of injuries, the San Francisco 49ers are 4-1, control the NFC West, and will likely buy at the trade deadline. While the team is currently getting by with multiple backups in the starting lineup, the biggest hit to the organization could have been edge defender Nick Bosa. The superstar pass rusher tore his ACL earlier in the season, and General Manager John Lynch hinted that a trade could be coming in the next few weeks.
“I’m having a lot of conversations, a lot of good and productive ones,” Lynch said. “If we find a way to make our football team better and it aligns, then we will not be shy on pulling the trigger.”

Report: 49ers Actively Looking For DE Help At Trade Deadline
Nick Bosa is a special player, and the 49ers probably won’t be able to find anyone of his caliber before the trade deadline. However, they could make a move for Cincinnati Bengals pass rusher Trey Hendrickson. After a long, arduous contract battle, the player and team eventually reached a compromise on a one-year extension, giving him a raise and allowing him to hit free agency after the season.
Unfortunately for the Bengals, this doesn’t seem to be paying off. Hendrickson himself is having a solid season, recording four sacks and eight quarterback hits in five games. However, despite his strong play, the Bengals are in the midst of a three-game losing streak with Joe Burrow sidelined. Cincinnati traded for Joe Flacco in a last-ditch effort to save their season, but if this plan doesn’t work, they’ll probably sell at the trade deadline. Hendrickson is easily their most valuable player, and they have first-round pick Shemar Stewart waiting in the wings to take on a bigger role.
