After a rough 2024 season, Logan Wilson eyes a comeback.
Logan Wilson missed several games last season due to a knee injury, but he’s looking to have a big comeback.
Wilson and new defensive coordinator Al Golden have a good past relationship, considering Golden helped bring Wilson to the Cincinnati Bengals from the University of Wyoming.
Wilson got a lot of bad rap to begin with last year, along with the rest of the defense, for not being as fast and not on the same page. Golden plans to rejuvenate this defense, which is why the team went out and picked up a couple of free agents along with a handful of draft picks.
Though first-rounder Shemar Stewart is awaiting his first contract, Golden has always been big on linebackers, which is why they drafted two more after the departure of Germaine Pratt and Akeem Davis-Gaither. They picked up Demetrius Knight, Jr., and Barrett Carter, who were described as two of the more hard-hitting, athletic linebackers.
With Wilson back healthy again, he will be able to help guide the two rookies, along with veteran free agent Oren Burks.
There weren’t many positives from the defense to begin with last year, so pretty much anything can be an improvement, but we’re obviously hoping for a massive improvement.
The #Bengals open camp in 32 days. I’m counting down with a daily observation.

“He made a commitment coming off the injury that he was going to come back better than ever and he has,” said Al Golden. pic.twitter.com/38fTkR2t3F— Dan Hoard (@Dan_Hoard) June 22, 2025
