The former Bengals right tackle gets recognition for his amazing consistency.

Willie Anderson is arguably the greatest right tackle in NFL history.

Somehow, that hasn’t been enough for the Cincinnati Bengals legend to get inducted into the Hall of Fame.

But, fortunately, he does get some recognition from those who know the game of football.

Recently, ESPN’s Aaron Schatz and Seth Walder put together a 53-man roster of the greatest players since 2000, or, the NFL All Quarter Century team.

They used stats, peak seasons, longevity, and FTN’s DYAR metric (defense-adjusted yards above replacement). And Anderson was one of two right tackles to make the list.

Here is what they had to say about Anderson:

Even though our time span cuts off the first four seasons of Anderson’s career, what he did in the nine years from 2000 on earns him a spot on this list. He played in 16 regular-season games every year from 2000 to 2006 with the Bengals.

The other right tackle to make the author’s roster was the Philadelphia Eagles’ Lane Johnson.

Anderson is certainly one of the greatest players in franchise history and a worthy members of the Ring of Honor.

Meanwhile, the Bengals recently parted ways with Germaine Pratt, who could find himself in the Ring of Honor one day.

We gave him a proper sendoff in the video below.
