Quarterback recruiting moves fast in college football. For rising junior Chris Parson, the decision process is happening quickly.
After visiting a ton of schools in June, the Brentwood (Tenn.) Ravenwood quarterback released his final eight schools on Tuesday night but also announced that a decision is coming very soon.

The potential blue-chip quarterback has a top eight of Alcorn State, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Tennessee, TCU, and Virginia Tech. While taking his visits, Parson was able to stop by each of those Power Five schools last month. While in Lexington, Parson hit it off with offensive coordinator Liam Coen.
“I love his style of coaching style, his personality. Everything about him is real good. We vibed instantly, we just clicked.”
However, that visit to Kentucky happened just a few days after a trip to Tallahassee. While making a stop at Florida State, head coach Mike Norvell and his staff rolled out the red carpet for the quarterback upon his arrival. Parson confirmed with KSR that he grew up a fan of the Seminoles and that experience in Tallahassee meant a lot to him.

Now it’s on to the decision and there is a very quick turnaround. In just two weeks, Parson will announce his college destination on July 22 for his birthday. That does not leave much ground to cover for Kentucky. At this point, it seems like the Seminoles are out to a lead in the recruitment.
There is still plenty of time to find a quarterback in the class of 2023, but these decisions happen very fast.
