2026 five-star guard Caleb Holt is starting to get his visits set for the fall. After setting up visits to Auburn and Alabama, a Kentucky visit is likely to get confirmed soon.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound shooting guard from Prolific Prep (Huntsville, AL) is set to visit Alabama frm October 3-5 and Auburn from October 10-12. His father, Desman told KSR+ the family is working “diligently” with assistant coach Jason Hart to solidify a visit date to Kentucky.
“We’re working on setting up a Kentucky visit,” Desman said. “We’ll likely have a confirmed date within the next week or so.”
Holt took his first official visit to Ole Miss in April. He’s taken unofficial visits to Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Houston, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.
Kentucky’s Recruiting Efforts
Kentucky was one of two schools to see Caleb Holt for an in-home visit this spring, but UK’s efforts go back far before April. Kentucky offered Holt last July and has continued its push ever since.
Head coach Mark Pope got a firsthand look at Holt, coaching him for the U19 National Team for the 2025 FIBA U19 Men’s World Cup in Switzerland. Holt expressed interest in Kentucky during the U19 trials.
“I feel like my motor — like, I never stop,” Holt told KSR at USA Training Camp in Colorado Springs. “Coming down the court, I’m always gonna come at you here. If I’m guarding you, I’m always gonna come at you. I wear people down with my motor, that separates me.”
Kentucky has recently started to fade in the recruitment of five-star guard Jason Crowe Jr. as he nears a decision. Does this open the door for UK to make a strong push for Caleb Holt?
