Samuels is ranked as high as 10th overall in his class.
Another offer is out for Kentucky basketball, and it’s to one of the top recruits in the class of 2026.
Late Monday night, 5-star guard Qayden Samuels announced a scholarship offer from the Wildcats. It came on the same day Kentucky offered fellow 2026 recruit Bryson Howard.
A 6-foot-5, 200-pound product of Bishop McNamara High School in Maryland, Samuels is ranked 18th nationally by 247 Sports Composite, which measures all of the major recruiting services. His highest ranking is 10th overall by ESPN.
Samuels holds additional scholarship offers from Kansas, UConn, Alabama, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, Maryland, and Illinois, among others. He has yet to take any official visits, but he did recently take an unofficial visit to NC State.
Why is that notable? Because his sister, Qadence Samuels, is now playing for the Wolfpack, so you have to think they’ll be a major suitor.
In the meantime, check out some highlights of Samuels in action with Team Takeover on the Nike AAU circuit.
