One recruiting expert says Keita could be the best big man in 2026 or 2027.

The Kentucky Wildcats are set to host one of the top international prospects for the 2027 class, with a potential reclassification into 2026 also on the table.

According to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony and 247 Sports’ Travis Branham, Sayon Keita will take an official visit to Kentucky beginning July 30th. The talented center plays for FC Barcelona of the Spanish Liga ACB and EuroLeague.

Branham adds that Keita, who was one of the top breakout players at the NBA Academy Games, is a 5-star-caliber prospect who could be the top big man in either the 2026 or 2027 class.

A 7-foot, 210-pound native of Bamako, Mali, Keita is also visiting the Kansas Jayhawks, Indiana Hoosiers, Duke Blue Devils, North Carolina Tar Heels, and UConn Huskies. That kind of list speaks to how promising of a prospect Keita is, even though none of the major recruiting services currently have an evaluation on him.

Keita’s visit to Lexington will come on Wednesday after his Indiana trip and prior to his Duke visit.
