This is a big one for UK, as Stokes is ranked No. 1 overall in his class and hails from Louisville.
The Kentucky Wildcats are on a recruiting tear right now in the class of 2024, and 2025 is already shaping up to be another good one for John Calipari and Co.
Now, Calipari is dipping into the 2026 class, as he’s offered a scholarship to five-star prospect Tyran Stokes.
Stokes announced the offer on Monday.

The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Stokes is a Louisville native who is playing for Prolific Prep in California. He’s the consensus No. 1 overall recruit in 2026.
As you can imagine, Stokes already has an impressive offer sheet, even if he is three years away from stepping onto a college campus. Among his other offers are the UCLA Bruins, Texas Longhorns, Kansas Jayhawks, LSU Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies, and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Safe to say Tyran Stokes is officially one of the most important Kentucky Basketball recruits in all of high school basketball. Let’s hope Calipari’s resurgence on the recruiting trail (and on the court?) helps get Stokes to Lexington.
In the meantime, check out some highlights of the Kentucky recruit in action.
