Buy your TBT tickets today to support La Familia and stick it to The Ville

La Familia’s run to the TBT semifinals was one of the highlights of last summer. This year, La Familia is putting the band back together to win the $1 million grand prize, and if you’re even toying with the idea of getting tickets to the Lexington Regional, you should do it right now.

Not only will you be securing your seat at Memorial Coliseum for what is sure to be an entertaining set of games, but you’ll also get La Familia one step closer to their rival, The Ville, in the race for what could be the difference maker in the event. The first TBT host team to sell 4,000 tickets gets home court advantage for every single game, including the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the $1 million championship games. If multiple regions sell 4,000 tickets during the pre-sale, a tie breaker is triggered, and the region that has sold the most tickets by 11:59 pm on May 6 (today) wins. There are ten host teams across eight regional sites:

  • Lexington – La Familia
  • Louisville – The Ville
  • Indianapolis – Assembly Ball (IU) and All Good Dawgs (Butler)
  • Kansas City – JHX Hoops (KU) and Purple Reign (K State)
  • Wichita – AfterShocks
  • Virginia – Embrace The Pace
  • West Virginia – Best Virginia
  • Syracuse – Boeheim’s Army

The Ville, Louisville’s alumni team, was 800 tickets ahead of La Familia as of this morning. If they beat La Familia to the 4,000 ticket mark, they could host the quarterfinal rematch at Freedom Hall for the second year in a row. Even though La Familia won that game last year, Drew Franklin got punched in the throat by a Louisville fan, so let’s make sure round two takes place in the friendly confines of Memorial Coliseum if we can, friends.

La Familia’s TBT run starts in the Lexington Regional July 18-22 at Memorial Coliseum, the winner of which advances to TBT’s quarterfinals on July 29. The semifinals will be held on July 31, and TBT’s $1 million championship will be played on Aug. 3. As mentioned, if La Familia is the first team to reach 4,000 tickets sold, every single one of those games will take place at Memorial Coliseum.

We’re not trying to play in their house.

Louisville is ahead by just 800 tickets — let’s change that.
Let’s pack Memorial Coliseum, not Freedom Hall.
If you want this game in Lexington, now’s the time to show it.

Let’s beat them in the ticket race, too.
