Rich Paul is good at his job.
A lot of people questioned Chris Livingston’s decision to leave the Kentucky Wildcats for the NBA Draft after just one season in Lexington.
After averaging just 6.3 points per game as a freshman, many Kentucky fans scoffed at the idea of him skipping a sophomore season for the pros.
A few years later, it’s hard to argue that it wasn’t the best move.
After being selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the last pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Livingston has played in just 42 games but has still managed to rack up the dough.
ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the Bucks have locked the former Wildcat into a one year $2.3 million contract with 100% guaranteed money.
Rich Paul and Klutch Sports strike again. No knock on Livingston or any of Paul’s other clients, but he is one magician of an agent who maximizes the value of his clients.
Livingston will have now earned over $5 million in a short span as a professional. He’s been balling out in the G League and followed it up with stellar play during the NBA Summer League. These were both contributing factors in the Bucks’ decision to give him more guaranteed money.
The Big Blue Nation has seen Livingston’s potential during his short span as a Wildcat. His length, athleticism, and ability to stretch the floor were all evident.
Sure, most Wildcat fans would have preferred to see him develop one more year under John Calipari, but all you can do is congratulate Chris Livingston on putting himself in a position to carve out a path in the NBA.
