Sounds like the Cats will be really involved in this recruitment.
The Kentucky Wildcats are trying to add the final pieces for the 2025-26 roster as Mark Pope and his staff relentlessly recruit the portal. They are also now having to start pivoting to the class of 2026.
With plenty of top players in the class with ties to this staff (Jason Hart in particular), the Cats will seemingly have plenty of options at the top of the class. One of those players, in particular, is 5-star forward Christian Collins.
Collins, a 6-foot-8 and 200-pound forward out of St. John Bosch high school in California, is a top-five recruit in the class of 2026 and holds offers from all the high-major programs.
When talking with Sam Kayser of LeagueReady, he mentioned eight schools that have been reaching out to him the most, including Kentucky. Alongside UK he is also hearing from Arkansas, Alabama, Arizona, Texas, USC, Villanova, and California.
Now, 247 Sports’ Dushawn London reports that Collins will host Kentucky for an in-home visit next Tuesday.
Coach Pope visited Collins back in September, and it appears that interest is only ramping up as we get into the heart of most recruitments for this class.
Let’s see if this staff can land their first recruit in the class sooner rather than later.
