“Yeah, I’m thinking I’m back.”
Collin Chandler is returning to the Kentucky Wildcats.
There wasn’t any real doubt that was going to happen, but we finally got some confirmation Thursday.
Chandler posted a GIF on Twitter of John Wick saying, “Yeah, I’m thinking I’m back.”
A true freshman this past season following a two-year Mormon mission, Chandler began the year just needing to get back into basketball shape. It was a season of growth for the Utah native, who rarely saw the floor over the first three months of the season before slowly growing into a stable role as SEC play wore on and postseason play arrived.
In 30 games, the 6-foot-5 Chandler averaged 2.7 points on 36.1% shooting (34.7% from deep) and 1.0 rebounds per game. However, in Kentucky’s three NCAA Tournament games, Chandler averaged 6.0 points on 55.6% shooting (62.5% from deep on nine total attempts), 1.7 steals, and 1.0 rebounds per contest.
Now, Chandler will give Kentucky some much-needed depth at both the point guard and shooting guard spots.
Welcome back!
