The former Wildcat gets another bag.
Everywhere you look in the NBA, you can find a former Kentucky Wildcats star shining with their respective team.
Tonight, we find ourselves in Phoenix as Devin Booker has agreed to a historic two-year contract extension with the Suns.
The two-year extension comes with $145 million, which is set to keep Booker in Phoenix through the 2029-30 season.
This extension gives Booker the highest annual extension salary in NBA history, according to Shams Charania.
The new contract demonstrates the franchise’s commitment to the former Wildcat, despite the team missing the playoffs last season.
Last season, Booker finished the season averaging 25.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game.
It has been quite an interesting offseason so far for the Suns after trading Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets a few weeks ago.
The Suns received numerous pieces and draft picks and are clearly sticking with Booker as their franchise star going forward.
It may be hard to believe, but Booker has played 10 seasons with the Suns and now holds the franchise record with points scored and made 3-pointers.
Congrats to the former Wildcat for the historic extension.
