Reeves and the Hornets agreed to a two-way deal

As a Kentucky fan, it is always fun to see how many former Wildcats are active in the NBA.

It seems like every week we have an update on a former Wildcat, and this week it is Antonio Reeves.

Reeves was a fan favorite in Lexington and now finds himself in Charlotte after agreeing to a two-way deal with the Hornets, according to Shams Charania.

Reeves has a solid rookie season with the New Orleans Pelicans, averaging 6.9 points per game in 44 games played.

Reeves will now take the final two-way spot in Charlotte, joining KJ Simpson and Drew Peterson with the other two spots.

The former Wildcat was actually quite impressive in his rookie season, but that comes as no surprise to Kentucky fans.

Jeff Peterson, the Hornets’ president of basketball operations, is clearly looking to bring in some ‘cheap’ talent that could help boost the roster in some capacity.

Again, it is always fun to see a former Wildcat making some noise, and it will be interesting to see what he does in Charlotte.

The Charlotte Hornets are signing guard Antonio Reeves to a two-way NBA deal, sources tell ESPN. The 2024 Pelicans second-round pick averaged 6.9 points and 40% 3-point shooting in 44 games as a rookie last season.
