Rhyne Howard is one of the best to ever wear a Kentucky women’s basketball jersey. Not much has changed since she left Lexington.
On Sunday, Howard was named a reserve for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. She’s the fourth Atlanta Dream player in franchise history to receive three All-Star bids in her first four seasons.
Arguably the most prolific three-point shooter in the W, this year she leads the league with 49 three-pointers made. Howard is averaging 16.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. The Dream are 11-7 this season, second only to the defending champion New York Liberty in the Eastern Conference.
Howard’s fourth WNBA season has featured a few signature milestones. This year, she became the fastest player in WNBA history to net 300 career three-pointers. She also was the fastest player in franchise history to tally 2,000 career points. Howard tied the single-game WNBA record by netting nine three-pointers in a 36-point performance last month.
The WNBA All-Star Game will be held on Saturday, July 19, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The game will air live on ABC at 8:30 p.m. ET. You might see Howard compete in the three-point contest on Friday night of all-star weekend.
