The newest Kentucky guard believes it is ‘the best in the country.’

The Kentucky Wildcats are on a mission to bring banner No. 9 back to Lexington this upcoming season and hang another banner inside Rupp Arena.

The Cats have reset their roster and brought in some major pieces, including Jayden Quaintance, Denzel Aberdeen, Jaland Lowe, Jasper Johnson, Malachi Moreno, and more, as well as returners like Otega Oweh.

Lowe, the Pitt Panther transfer, recently spoke with the media and shared some of his thoughts on coming to Lexington.

With all the pieces that have completed the roster puzzle, Lowe has very high hopes for what the backcourt can accomplish.

“I think we’re the best backcourt in the country, for sure,” Lowe said. “Once we get our guy Jasper (Johnson) back, too, having everybody on the court at the same time and just competing every day, I feel like the pieces that we have, we can compete and win at the utmost level. I’m loving this group.”

It’s quite the upgrade to leave Pitt and come to Kentucky, and it’s clear that Lowe is looking to be part of something worthwhile.

“I wanted to win a championship, I wanted to wear Kentucky across my chest, and I wanted to play with this group of guys around me,” Lowe said.

With all of the pieces, it will hopefully be quite an exciting season for Big Blue Nation.

Jaland Lowe’s mindset is exactly what you want in a PG.

“I love playing basketball, man. I love coming to work every day, going out and playing the sport I love, and AT Kentucky…
