Another name to monitor in the 2026 class.
Mark Pope and his staff have hit the recruiting trail hard in the class of 2026 as they look to bring in some of the top talent from a very good class.
With plenty of big names already making the big board, we now have another name to add to the list of players that the Kentucky Wildcats are targeting.
According to a report by Dushawn London of 247 Sports, the Wildcats have offered 5-star guard Deron Riley Jr.
Rippey, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound point guard from Blairstown (NJ), is a rising prospect in the recruiting rankings and has landed offers from Tennessee, Miami, Auburn, and Texas Tech in the last few weeks.
With the Cats on board, they also join a stacked offer sheet that includes the teams above while also having Alabama, Louisville, and North Carolina in the mix as well.
A solid overall athlete, Rippey is a primary ball-handler with good length but is mostly known for his two-way ability. Once again, this is another quality we have seen this staff value since Pope took over.
This recruitment is just starting to get underway. Now, we will see how serious the Cats are about it.
Rippey is considered a 5-star guard according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He is also considered a top-5 point guard in the 2026 class.
