Kentucky’s basketball schedule is coming to form and there’s a familiar face reportedly joining the fold.
T.J. Walker, a former KSR colleague and current sports talker at the Big X Sports Radio, reports the Wildcats will host Robert Morris Nov. 12 at Rupp Arena. Much has changed at Robert Morris since the Colonials upset the Cats in the infamous 2013 NIT matchup in Moon Township.
First and foremost, Bob Mo moved on up. Previously members of the Northeast Conference, in 2020 the Colonials joined the Horizon League, now playing against the likes of Northern Kentucky, Detroit Mercy, Milwaukee and Green Bay. It was a rough debut season for Robert Morris, finishing just 4-15 a year after claiming the NEC Tournament Championship.
What you may have forgotten is that this game will not serve as revenge for the NIT loss. The Cats already got that the following season. Aaron Harrison knocked down 4-of-7 three-pointers to score 28 points, while Julius Randle chipped in a 10-point, 15-rebound double-double in an 87-49 victory over Robert Morris at Rupp Arena in November of 2013.
Although unofficial, here’s a look at the UK basketball schedule as we currently know it.
