A rising star out of Georgia just picked up an offer from the ‘Cats.
On Wednesday night, AJ Hoffler, a four-star strongside defensive end from the class of 2023, announced on Twitter that he has received a scholarship to play football at the University of Kentucky. The 6-foot-5, 245-pound native of College Park, GA is up to 12 total offers now, which includes the likes of Colorado, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Ole Miss, UCF, Wake Forest, and West Virginia.
Hoffler is being recruited by UK defensive line coach Anwar Stewart.

According to 247 Sports, Hoffler, who attends Woodward Academy, is a four-star product ranked as the No. 220 player in his class, the 29th best strongside defensive end, and the 28th best player from the state of Georgia. All but one of his 12 offers have come since the start of 2021, as Kansas State offered in December of 2019. It should be noted that Hoffler’s older brother, Ozzie, currently plays defensive end for Kansas State.
Hoffler told KSR on Thursday that he intends on taking a trip to Lexington this summer in order to check out the campus. But before he gets here, make sure to check out his sophomore year highlight tape below. We’ll have more on Hoffler and his Kentucky offer coming to the site on Friday.
