Following three years of limited action in Lexington, a former 3-star recruit is on the outs.
According to Derek Terry of 247 Sports, Kentucky Football offensive tackle Nick Lewis will put his name in the transfer portal and leave Kentucky. Clocking in at 6-foot-9, 320 pounds per UK’s official website, Lewis only appeared in eight games during his junior season in 2020, filling in on special teams.

Lewis came to Kentucky as part of the 2018 class and was a consensus 3-star prospect out of Jacksonville, FL. He redshirted his freshman season in 2018 before making 11 in-game appearances in 2019.
He never saw the field all that often, but Lewis should get the opportunity to compete wherever he lands next. He dropped roughly 30 pounds since coming to Kentucky and had offers from schools such as Missouri, Cincinnati, Maryland, Iowa State, and Washington State, among others, before landing in Lexington. Prior to choosing Kentucky back in high school, Lewis was previously committed to Washington State but eventually backed off that decision.
