Kentucky currently only has four scholarship tight ends on the roster. That is not many for a pro-style offense that wants to utilize a heavy dosage of 12 personnel. After adding Illinois transfer Henry Boyer to the roster in the winter window, the expectation was that the Cats would be back in the transfer market in the spring.
The program hosted another tight end visitor this week. UCF transfer Elijah Brown was on campus for a visit on Thursday.
The former blue-chip recruit out of Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne signed with Alabama out of high school and spent one season with the Crimson Tide. Elijah Brown then transferred to Florida Atlantic and played for two seasons under Tom Herman. Brown entered the portal after the season and landed at UCF. Now the tight end is on the move again with two years of eligibility remaining.
Elijah Brown has terrific positional size (6-6, 250) and appeared in seven games (132 snaps) for FAU in 2024. The multi-time transfer is the second tight end target to visit UK in the spring. New Mexico transfer Keayen Nead was on campus before committing to BYU.
