A solid finish.
The calendar is completely closed on college athletics for the 2024-25 season, and the Kentucky Wildcats posted some solid efforts all around.
With that said, I’m sure you thought that rankings were done for until college football season, right?
Wrong, as the Learfield Directors Cup final rankings have been posted.
For Mitch Barnhart and UK Athletics, they came in at No. 30 in the final rankings. Texas took home the title once again.
The Learfield Cup is a ranking to help name the best collegiate athletic programs in the country. With up to 19 teams that can be counted, five have to be men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, volleyball, and soccer.
With the No. 30 ranking, the Cats jump back into the top 30 of the country after a No. 32 ranking last season.
Let’s hope the teams can push the Cats up higher next season with some solid success on their respective playing surfaces.
