Kentucky is in the hunt for an incredibly versatile prospect.
Tyler Griffin, a class of 2022 ATH is being recruited to play either wide receiver or linebacker once he hits the college stage. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder out of New Southeast Bulloch High School down in Brooklet, GA dropped his list of top 10 potential college choices on Monday and Kentucky snuck into the discussion. Joining the Wildcats is a solid group of programs: Virginia Tech, Utah, Virginia, Nebraska, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, UCF, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech.

Griffin is listed as an ATH by 247 Sports and a WR by Rivals, however, plenty of schools are currently recruiting him to play linebacker at the next level, including Kentucky. He’s split playing time in high school at wide receiver, linebacker, and safety while also dabbling in basketball, as well. Griffin was nominated to the Georgia AAA First-Team All-State team this past season for offense and later named the AAA All-Region Player of the Year.
As of right now, Griffin has just one official visit scheduled for the summer: a June 11-13 trip to see UCF’s campus. A report that surfaced near the end of March from Rivals’ Jason Stamm states that Griffin would like to take visits to both Kentucky and Ole Miss in the future.
Griffin is graded by 247 Sports as a three-star recruit and the No. 618 overall player from the class of 2022. Rivals also has Griffin as a three-star, ranking him as the 66th best player from the state of Georgia for 2022.
