Add another name to the list of players that have received a visit.
The Kentucky Wildcats coaching staff has been active in the last week, taking time to visit their top targets in the class of 2026.
With plenty of big-time players hosting the staff, we can now add another name to the list of players.
According to Dushawn London of 247 Sports, four-star shooting guard Christian Gibson hosted Kentucky assistant Mikhail McLean at his school on Tuesday. Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt, and Texas have all been in for visits as well.
Gibson, a 6-foot-4 and 180-pound guard out of Houston, holds several offers at the moment, including Houston, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, TCU, and several others. Kentucky has not yet extended an offer.
With the visit, it will be interesting to see how involved the Cats get in this recruitment. Especially with McLean playing for the Houston program, it is likely he has quite a few connections that could help Kentucky get involved quickly if they decided to.
Gibson is considered a four-star prospect in the class. According to the 247 Sports Composite rankings, he is the No. 51 player in the class.
Let’s see how serious the Cats get in this one.
