On May 1st, it was reported that Kentucky was set to take on Morehead State this season, but now, we officially know when that game will be.
The team announced on social media that the Cats will take on the Eagles in Historic Memorial Coliseum on November 3rd in what will be the first game of Kenny Brooks’ second season at Kentucky.

Morehead State is coached by Ashton Feldhaus, the niece of former Kentucky men’s basketball player Deron Feldhaus. Her father, Allen, played at Eastern Kentucky and currently coaches boys’ basketball team at Madison Central High School. Feldhaus previously coached at Division II Missouri Western.
This past season, the Griffons were a preseason No. 7 pick in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). However, Feldhaus led them to a third-place finish, earning an at-large berth to the NCAA Division II tournament.
Kentucky is 11-0 all-time against Morehead State, getting a 73-48 win over the Eagles when they last met on November 11, 2022. They’ll look to make it 12-0 in the 2025-26 season opener.
