The NBA Draft is next Wednesday and Thursday
The 2025 NBA Draft is just over a week away, and there are multiple Kentucky Wildcats prospects hoping to hear their names called.
In their latest mock draft, ESPN NBA Draft analysts Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo have two Wildcats getting selected through the draft’s two rounds.
Koby Brea is projected to go to the Milwaukee Bucks at No. 47 overall, while Amari Williams is projected to go to the Memphis Grizzlies at No. 56 overall.
Brea is familiar with Milwaukee. It was there where he exploded from beyond the arc in the second half against Illinois, raining in three triples and scoring 23 total points in Kentucky’s 84-75 win that sent them to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2019.
Williams’ playing in Memphis is great for proximity purposes. Memphis is a drivable distance from Kentucky, and he could help the Grizzlies’ frontcourt compete with the top teams in the Western Conference.
The SEC is well-represented in this mock draft. Two players, Tre Johnson (Texas) and Jeremiah Fears (Oklahoma), are projected to go in the top 10, with two more players, Collin Murray-Boyles (South Carolina) and Asa Newell (Georgia), projected in the top 20. Florida’s Walter Clayton Jr. is projected as a late first-round pick at No. 29 overall.
Six more players from the SEC, including Brea and Williams, are projected to be second-round picks.
