The Kentucky basketball team joined hands and started a Love Train. Luckily, this Crazy Train didn’t go off the rails. Choo! Choo!
Since every train song is stuck in my head, it now has to be stuck in yours. I digress…
The Kentucky basketball team hopped on an RJ Corman train to reach Thursday’s summer camp destination. A little bit longer than a trek on a bus or a van, the team spent two hours and change riding from Lexington to Simpsonville before hopping on a bus to Crestwood for a camp at South Oldham High School. Players enjoyed the experience and provided rave reviews of the meal, with one describing it s a “legit Polar Express.”
The latest adventure is the 14th the team has taken together in the last ten days. A year after there was absolutely no team bonding, the 2021-22 Cats are spending seemingly every waking moment with one another. The train ride might be a good omen. The last time the team spent part of the summer riding on rails through the Bluegrass, Tyler Herro and P.J. Washington took Kentucky to an Elite Eight.
