Pope was seen catching up with some former Wildcats.
Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats coaching staff have been on the recruiting trail for the past week. They ended their week by greeting former Wildcats guard Rob Dillingham and forward Julius Randle.
Dillingham, Randle, and the Timberwolves are preparing for game 3 of the NBA’s Western Conference Playoffs. The series is tied 1-1 as the series heads to Minnesota. Pope stopped by to greet them before Friday night’s game.
The Kentucky MBB social media posted photos of Pope and Dillingham catching up at the Timberwolves facility. Pope also caught up with former Wildcat Jarred Vanderbilt while on the road. The Timberwolves’ social media account posted more pictures of Pope and Randle.
Dillingham hasn’t been in the Timberwolves’ rotation due to an ankle injury that has kept him out of the series’ previous two games versus the Los Angeles Lakers. This ankle injury will keep him sidelined until further notice. Dillingham played in a little over half the games for the Timberwolves, checking in to 49 games this season. The rookie guard averaged 4.5 points and two assists per game in 10.5 minutes of game time this season.
Dillingham has also debuted a new logo with Nike. The logo resembles his nickname, “Rob Wit the shifts.” The logo includes a gear shift, his initials, and his jersey number.
