Huge win for the Bat Cats.
No. 8 Kentucky Baseball silenced any critics they had this weekend when they beat No. 2 Arkansas, 11-3 & 7-4 to take the series two games to one.
The Wildcats lost Friday’s opening game 3-10 but combined sound pitching with an uptick in offense to send Arkansas home with back-to-back Ls.

The series win comes in a time of need after Kentucky lost four of six games to Tennessee and South Carolina over the previous two weekends.
As mentioned before, this weekend was a very good sign for their offense, but pitching is really where the Bat Cats found a turning point.
Kentucky averaged seven runs per game this weekend but managed to pick up two wins instead of one, in large part due to their pitching core.
The Wildcats gave up less than six runs per game this weekend, which was much better in comparison to more than an average of nine against South Carolina and over eight per game against Tennessee.
Kentucky will head to Cincinnati for a game against Xavier before traveling to Florida this weekend for their final road series of the season. The Wildcats then return home for a mid-week home game against Wright State before the season’s final series vs. Vanderbilt.
