Four of Kentucky men’s basketball’s five incoming transfer portal additions spent the weekend in Lexington. And they sure enjoyed their time.
Denzel Aberdeen (Florida), Jaland Lowe (Pitt), Mouhamed Dioubate (Alabama), and Kam Williams (Tulane) were all on campus for their official visits the last two days. Joined by head coach Mark Pope, they popped over to watch the Bat Cats beat South Carolina on Sunday and win the series. They couldn’t have picked a better day to catch some baseball and take pictures with fans, either.
Aberdeen and Williams were so impressed with their trips that they took to social media to praise the visit. “MAN I LOVE KENTUCKY!! Had a great official visit today in Lexington, cannot wait to represent the University and its culture. #BBN,” Aberdeen wrote.
Williams shared a similar sentiment, writing, “The culture and love that Kentucky has for their players is very special and something that I will never take for granted. I was blessed to have my official visit today and honestly cannot wait to suit up and play for all the fans. Can’t wait to get to work! #BBN.”
Jayden Quaintance (Arizona State) was the lone transfer commit not in Lexington this weekend; he’s using the time to recover from his recent ACL surgery. He’ll make his way to town later this summer with the rest of his teammates once offseason workouts begin. In the meantime, everyone else spent the last couple of days getting acquainted with their future homes.
Can the season start tomorrow, please?
