It’s Selection Sunday, folks!
Later tonight on ESPN2 at 9 p.m. EST, the No. 17 Kentucky Softball Team (39-13, 13-11 in SEC) will learn its fate for the upcoming 2021 NCAA Softball Tournament, which is set to begin this week. The ‘Cats are coming off a quarterfinals defeat to eventual champion Alabama in last week’s SEC Tournament, but figure to be one of the top teams announced in the field of 64.

31 different schools earned automatic bids after winning their respective conference tournaments, with Alabama taking the SEC’s spot. Across the Bluegrass State, both Eastern Kentucky and Western Kentucky were able to win the Ohio Valley Conference and Conference USA titles, respectively, and will both earn automatic bids during tonight’s selection show.
As of Sunday morning, D1Softball projects Kentucky as a two-seed in the Ann Arbor Region. Make sure to tune into ESPN2 tonight to cheer on one of the top sports teams on campus.
