It’s a big day for Kentucky football recruiting.
It’s a big day for Kentucky Football on the recruiting trail, as 4-star QB Matt Ponatoski is slated to make his decision today.
The 4-star QB is reportedly deciding between Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas and Oregon. Kentucky seems to be sitting in a pretty good spot headed into Decision Day, but you never know for certain.
The 6’2 signal-caller from Cincinnati’s Archbishop Moeller would be the big fish in Kentucky’s 2026 recruiting class, which has gained some steam over the last few weeks.
Ponatoski is a two-sport star in Ohio, shining on the football field as well as the baseball diamond. Ponatoski was named Ohio’s Mr. Football last year and was the Ohio Maxpreps Player of the Year, throwing for 57 touchdowns.
Ponatoski is a star on the baseball field as well. He’s ranked as the No. 16 high school baseball prospect in the 2026 class by Baseball America and the No. 1 recruit in Ohio by Prep Baseball.
In short, landing Ponatoski would be a massive pickup for the Wildcats. Let’s see if they can seal the deal on this recruitment today.
