BBN needs to show out for this year’s tournament.
The Basketball Tournament is coming back this summer, and it’s time for the Big Blue Nation to show out once again.
This year’s La Familia team is going to feature several favorite former Kentucky Wildcats, including Willie Cauley-Stein, Doron Lamb, and DeAndre Liggins. A couple of other fan favorites are expected to return from last year’s team that made it to the semifinals in Philadelphia as well.
TBT is utilizing a system called Home Court Advantage. Basically, regional hosts like La Familia will be ranked based on how quickly they can sell 4,000 tickets. As long as that regional host wins, they will play at home. However, when two regional hosts meet, like Kentucky and Louisville did last year, the game will be hosted by the team ranked higher in the Home Court Advantage Rankings.
If multiple regions sell 4,000 tickets during the pre-sale, a tiebreaker is triggered, and the region that has sold the most tickets by 11:59 pm on May 6th wins.
La Familia will play at Historic Memorial Coliseum, and it would be really cool if every La Familia game is played there. You can find ticket information here.
