Tajh is the son of former NBA champion Trevor Ariza.
Another day, another scholarship offer issued by Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats.
This one is going to a consensus top-10 prospect in the class of 2026: Tajh Ariza.
On Wednesday, Ariza announced he received an offer from Kentucky.
Hailing from California, the 6-foot-8, 180-pound small forward is the son of former NBA standout Trevor Ariza, who won the 2009 NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers and was California’s Mr. Basketball coming out of high school.
After originally playing for St. Bernard High School, the younger Ariza transferred to Westchester Senior (CA), his dad’s alma mater, over the spring. He’s currently ranked sixth overall and second among small forwards in the class of 2025, according to 247 Sports Composite.
Among the other schools that’ve offered Ariza include the Kansas Jayhawks, UCLA Bruins, Washington Huskies, and USC Trojans.
Kentucky hasn’t had much success recruiting California under John Calipari, but the hope is that will change under Mark Pope thanks to the addition of Jason Hart, who has extensive recruiting ties to the West Coach.
