Another top-five player will be heading to campus.

Mark Pope and his staff are looking to land their first signature recruit in the class of 2026. With a wide net cast across plenty of players in the top 25, it appears they are positioned well with several players inside the top five of the class.

As AAU season has come to an end, we have seen several reports of players scheduling their official visits for the fall, and now we can add another name to the list of visitors to Lexington.

According to Jacob Polacheck of KSR, 5-star guard Jordan Smith will take his official visit to UK during Big Blue Madness this year on October 12- 14. The standout prospect is ranked No. 2 overall and No. 1 among combo guards by 247 Sports.

Smith, a 6-2 and 200-pound combo guard out of Fairfax (VA), has taken two previous visits back last fall as he visited Louisville and Duke. He will also visit Arkansas on September 19th of this season.

In a previous interview with Polacheck, Smith’s father, Jordan Sr., had high praise for Coach Pope and UK.

“I told Mark Pope that I love his offense because it’s a spread offense,” Smith said. “He can get downhill and all of that. I told him that I love his offense. I told Pope that I love it.”

Seems like the Kentucky Wildcats are in a good spot. Let’s see if they can push even further ahead in this recruitment in the coming months.

Breaking: 5-Star guard Jordan Smith Jr. will take an official visit to Kentucky from Oct. 10-12 for Big Blue Madness, his father tells KSR+.

Smith is ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2026 Rivals Industry Ranking.
