There may already be an early favorite for the Kentucky transfer.
The Kentucky Wildcats could be losing Travis Perry to a fellow SEC school.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, the Ole Miss Rebels are the early school to watch for in the recruitment of Perry.
This stems from Perry’s high school recruitment, which Ole Miss was a very big part of and, at one point, looked like the favorite. Head coach Chris Beard was a fan of Perry and still has a major roster rebuild on his hands. The Rebels have plenty of vacant roster spots, so Perry could be someone Beard tries to fill them with.
If it happens, it would be a tough pill for the Cats to swallow. Not only would you be losing a Kentucky high school legend, but it could be to a team they’ll face at least once on an annual basis.
It’ll be interesting to see what kind of NIL offers Perry gets and if Kentucky is willing to match them in hopes of coaxing him into a return to Lexington.
