Kentucky Football assistant coaches Brad White and Vince Marrow stepped in for Matt Jones and the KSR crew on the second day of Guest Host Week, and they brought plenty of help to carry the two-hour show.
Working on their vacations, White and Marrow interrupted the vacations of Mark Stoops and Liam Coen—both of whom left the Bluegrass to unwind for a week—for brief conversations about football. Stoops reluctantly checked in from an undisclosed location, while Coen took the phone call from his colleagues while hiding out in Rhode Island.
“If it wasn’t you guys, there isn’t any way I would’ve jumped on for five minutes with anybody,” Stoops said from his summer getaway. “We’ve had a crazy June. (I’m) trying to get out of town for a week, a week and a half, to catch my breath. I absolutely need it, but very energized… I like our team and can’t wait to get going, to be honest with you.”
Also on the UK Football takeover of KSR, the coaches checked in with former players Kash Daniel and Benny Snell, and former player/current assistant Courtney Love, who now heads up the 4 for 40 program as director of player development.
