Communication breakdown.
The biggest news around Kentucky Wildcats athletics this week has been the departure of Vince Marrow to the Louisville Cardinals.
Now official, fans of both programs have been waiting to hear the longtime UK assistant coach open up on the move.
That happened Friday as he joined Terry Meiners’ radio show.
Vince Marrow discussed his breakup with Mark Stoops during this afternoon’s chat with @terrymeiners.
Sounds like the two just stopped communicating over the past few weeks.

Probably the highlight of the conversation is the hint that if the communication with Stoops had been happening earlier, this move wouldn’t have potentially happened.
It’s obvious from Marrow that his relationship with Mark Stoops is now different from what it was before. Using the word “strained,” it appears the assumptions behind closed doors were actually true.
Now the question becomes; where do both programs go from here?
Since the departure, Kentucky has made some noise on the recruiting trail, picking up several commitments this week.
