The match no one expected, asked for, or had any idea could possibly be a reality.
On Sunday night, boxing great and undefeated champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. will be competing in a “super exhibition” with Logan Paul, a social media star and YouTuber.
Mayweather previously retired in 2017 after a highly publicized knockout win against Conor McGregor but has since come out of retirement to face the amateur Paul.
Logan Paul has only faced one amateur boxer in his career, fellow YouTuber KSI, twice, with one matchup ending in a draw and the other with Paul being defeated by KSI.
Paul has been a prominent figure on YouTube since around 2016 and amasses 23.1 million (yes, million) subscribers on YouTube, where he originally posted prank videos and “clickbait” content before delving into boxing.

Some of Paul’s content features his brother, Jake Paul, arguably one of the most notable YouTubers of all time. Jake Paul (20.4 million subscribers) has also transitioned into an amateur boxing career, taking on Ben Askren, a former professional fighter, with a knockout win for Paul in April of this year.
The younger Paul also was the source of the highly publicized and meme’d Nate Robinson knockout in 2020. Robinson, a former NBA player for the New Orleans Pelicans, it is said is still recovering from the national embarrassment served to him at the hand of the younger Paul.
Mayweather is also interested in having an exhibition with the younger Paul, as stated in February 2021.
Alongside Paul vs. Mayweather, former Cincinnati Bengal Chad Johnson will be making his amateur debut at the event, which starts at 8 p.m. EST.
You can find the matchup on Showtime Pay Per View starting at $49.99, or you can join fellow spectators at KSBar, where there will be happy hour specials all day.
