It doesn’t seem to be great, TBH
First, what news there is:
Dailyn Swain posted the above picture on his Instagram. No context, no caption, no further information. Just a first person shot of someone in a hospital bed with an IV. We assume it’s him, but it would be kind of wild if it wasn’t.
Anything beyond that at this point is either speculation or a disrespect of his privacy. If/when he decides to release further information personally or through official channels, we’ll pass it right along to you guys.
What isn’t speculation is that this is the most cursed Xavier season in some time. We’ve talked at length on here about the late offseason injuries that made this the most freshman-dependent season in almost three decades for the Muskies. Not that X needed more, but then Sasa Ciani and Des Claude both suffered lower leg injuries that took them out of games last week. Des was back to carry the team past Georgetown, but Sasa was not.
Now this. Maybe Dailyn was studying so hard he forgot to hydrate and just needed some fluids. Maybe he’s out for the year. He has been a vital cog in a desperately thin Muskie machine this season; hopefully he gets well very soon.
