Zack Littell
In his first start since being acquired at the trade deadline Zack Littell struck out a season best eight and allowed a run in seven innings.
The splits this season aren’t very big for Littell. Most of it boils down to right-handed hitters finding a few extra singles along the way. Those extra singles carry over to a slightly higher on-base percentage and a slightly higher slugging percentage.

Mike Burrows
After beginning the year in Triple-A, Mike Burrows joined Pittsburgh in late May and has been with the Pirates ever since. He hasn’t pitched against the Reds in any of his 14 games this year. The last time out he struggled, giving up three homers and six runs in 4.2 innings to the Giants.
The splits against Burrows are quite big. And they are reverse. Right-handed hitters have hit for a good average and plenty of power. They don’t walk much at all. Left-handed hitters, though, hit for a low average, walk a lot, but don’t hit for any power.
