Nick Lodolo
After missing the start of the season, Nick Lodolo has come off of the injured list dealing. In his three starts he’s allowed four runs in 17.0 innings. He’s barely faced lefties this season, but they are 1-8 against him so far this season. Right-handed hitters haven’t been all that successful, either, but they’ve done much better than lefties. In his career, righties have posted an .830 OPS against him, while lefties are down at the .475 mark.

Matt Waldron
One of the few players in all of professional baseball that throws a knuckleball, Matt Waldron brings a 5-pitch arsenal to the table, but his knuckleball sets him apart from just about everyone else. He’s had three good starts this season and two not-so-good starts, but he’s coming off of his longest outing of the year when he allowed one run in Colorado over 6.0 innings.
He’s only pitched in 13 games in his career, but lefties and righties have the exact same OPS against him – .744. They get to that number quite differently, though. Lefties walk a lot more often against him, while righties almost never walk. Right-handed hitters show off plenty of power, while left-handed hitters don’t hit for much power against him.
